ST DAVID'S DAY LUNCH

The Worshipful Master of Sharpers Hall Lodge No.9196, W Bro Bob Mitchell, celebrated his Welsh ancestry recently by hosting a St David’s day lunch and quiz for his lodge.

While the brethren and guests feasted on Welsh Hill lamb and Bara Brith (Welsh fruitcake), they raised £200 for the lodge benevolent account.

The ‘Fun Quiz’ that followed tested their knowledge of all things ’Cymraeg’, although the recent results of Welsh/English rugby matches seemed to be something of a recurring theme! The combined efforts of Mrs Dawn Hill, one of our lodge widows, the Lodge Secretary, W Bro Colin Boddington, his wife Marsha and Chaplain W Bro Stan Revell couldn’t compete with the winning team of W Bro’s Jake Jackson and Tony Patmore with their respective wives Cate and Sue.
